The camp was organized by the Eye Treatment Center, Waling and Primary Health Center, Waling with the technical support of the Himalayan Eye Hospital Pokhara. A total of 450 persons had undergone eye examination at the camp, according to Chief of the Center Tej Bahadur Gurung.
Ophthalmologist Dr Harimaya Gurung led a seven member team of ophthalmologists that carried out the surgery and provided free medicines and eye glasses.
People from Waling, Bhirkot, Galyang, Chapakot municipality of Syangja and some parts of southern Parbat from the camp.
