The program was mutually composed by six associations identified with tourism business and upheld by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). Pokhrel who was the establishing seat of Himalaya Rescue Associations had his driving part in different tourism related associations.
The investments of the program recalled that him as the main figure in the field of tourism, underlining the need of taking desires from his commitments and making an interpretation of such motivations vigorously to additionally support up the local tourism division.
NTB Chief Executive Officer, Deepak Raj Joshi, depicted Pokhrel as a motivating identity in the field. He was a convincing speaker.
Trekking Agencies of Association of Nepal (TAAN) Chair Nawaraj Dahal, Nepal Association of Travel and Tour Agents (NATTA) Chair CN Pandey, Nepal Mountaineering Association's Santa Bir Lama calling him as the "exemplification" of the tourism field named his destruction as a major misfortune to the field. Pokhrel had surrendered to lung disease on July 23. He was 84.
As expressed by NATTA General Secretary Ramesh Thapa, Pokhrel had his long profession of around five decades in tourism and headed the organisaiton for a long time.
